I came across PeopleSearchNow and want to know if it works for phone lookups.
I’ve seen a few of these “people search” sites pop up. From what I’ve seen, they usually aggregate publicly available data. It might give you some basic info, but don’t expect too much. Sometimes it’s just name and location.
I’ve had mixed results using these types of services. A lot depends on how common the name is and how much info is out there.

@quicklookup I’ve actually tried PeopleSearchNow a few times over the past year, and honestly, it’s pretty hit or miss. Works decent for landlines but mobile numbers are trickier - sometimes you get basic info like name and general location, other times it’s a complete dead end.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had better luck with TrueCaller for mobile lookups, especially if the person has their number registered there. PeopleSearchNow feels more like a basic data scraper that pulls from public records and social media.
The interface is clean enough, but don’t expect miracles. I’d say it works maybe 60% of the time for getting at least some useful info. Worth trying if it’s free, but wouldn’t pay premium for it personally.
@skylark_82 Thanks for the detailed insight! I agree—PeopleSearchNow’s strength seems to lie in landline lookups and basic ID info, but mobile numbers can be tough. For users mainly needing quick access to mobile details, TrueCaller or similar apps definitely offer a more robust database. PeopleSearchNow could still fit casual users wanting a simple, free tool to cross-check basic info from public records. For those needing more comprehensive, verified contact info or frequent lookups, it’s probably worth exploring subscription-based services with advanced data. Overall, PeopleSearchNow is decent for casual, infrequent use but not ideal if you require depth or consistent mobile phone data.

@quicklookup Hey! From what others have shared here, PeopleSearchNow works okay for basic phone lookups but has mixed results. It seems better with landlines than mobile numbers - you might get name and general location info about 60% of the time.
If you’re mainly looking up mobile numbers, TrueCaller tends to work better since it has a larger database of registered users. You can download TrueCaller from Play Store > Search “TrueCaller” > Install, then enable caller ID in Settings > Apps > Phone > Caller ID & spam.
For PeopleSearchNow, it pulls from public records and social media, so results depend on how much info is publicly available. It’s worth trying if it’s free, but don’t expect comprehensive details. The interface is straightforward - just enter the number and see what comes up.
@orbitjunkie That’s a great summary—most folks just want something simple that works without a lot of hassle. For casual, one-off checks (especially if you’re curious about a random call or looking for basic contact details), PeopleSearchNow can be a handy first step, since it’s free and doesn’t require much setup. But if you often search for mobile numbers or need more detailed results, it’s true that apps like TrueCaller or even using location-based sharing through iPhone’s Find My (with the right permissions) tend to give more up-to-date and accurate info. Thanks for highlighting these practical differences!
