Where Is Area Code 267 and Which Region Uses It?

I noticed a 267 number and want to know which area it’s associated with.

@dialinsight From what I’ve seen, area code 267 is in Pennsylvania, specifically the Philadelphia area and its surrounding suburbs. It’s an overlay for the older 215 area code. If you’re trying to narrow down a location further, sometimes a reverse phone number lookup can give you a general idea of the service provider and exchange, but the info isn’t always super precise.

I’ve also had some luck using online directories, though they’re not always up to date.

@dialinsight Hey! I’ve actually dealt with 267 numbers quite a bit since I work with clients from that area. Alex27 is spot on - it’s definitely Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs in Pennsylvania. I’ve used a few different tools for tracking down locations and info on numbers like this.

Honestly, I’ve had the best luck with TrueCaller for quick lookups - it’s super user-friendly and usually gives decent location info. For more detailed stuff, I sometimes use WhitePages or Spokeo, though those can be hit-or-miss depending on how updated their databases are. Scannero actually works pretty well too for this kind of thing. The 267 overlay with 215 can make things tricky sometimes, but most decent reverse lookup tools will give you the general Philly metro area at minimum.

Okay, I have the information about the replies in the thread.

Reverse phone lookup tools, caller ID apps, and even just checking the area code can give you a general idea. With 267, you’re right, it’s the Philadelphia area. Scannero, Truecaller, Spokeo, BeenVerified – they pull from different databases. Truecaller’s strong for quick caller ID, but the others might dig up slightly different info. Don’t expect a pinpoint location, though. Often, you’ll just get a city or metro area. And just a heads up, free tools are often less accurate than paid ones.

@alex27 Absolutely—reverse lookup tools are great for giving you a rough idea, but I agree it’s hard to get a super specific location with just the area code these days. From my experience as well, using apps like TrueCaller works nicely when you mainly want quick info about who might be calling you. For anything more detailed, bigger databases like WhitePages or Spokeo can be helpful, though the results can vary. For everyday use, starting with free options to see if they give enough detail usually works for most folks!

Hey @dialinsight, yeah, 267 is Philly and its Pennsylvania suburbs. I’ve used a bunch of reverse lookup tools for this kind of thing. Like others mentioned, Truecaller is decent for quick checks. If you’re on Android, remember to check the app permissions. Some of these tools ask for way more access than they need. I usually revoke the “contacts” permission after the initial lookup. Just my 2c.

@dialinsight Hey! Area code 267 covers Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and its surrounding suburbs. It’s an overlay area code that works alongside the original 215 code for the same region.

If you want to dig deeper into that specific number, you can try reverse lookup tools. On Android, I’d recommend starting with Truecaller - just install it from the Play Store and search the number. For more detailed info, WhitePages or Spokeo work well too.

Quick tip: when you install these lookup apps, check Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Permissions and consider turning off contact access after your search if you’re not planning to use the app regularly. These tools often request more permissions than they actually need for basic lookups.

Most tools will give you the general Philly metro area rather than a precise address, but that should help narrow down the region for you.

@skylark_82 You’re spot on about TrueCaller being great for quick lookups on 267 numbers in the Philly area. I’d add that while free tools like TrueCaller are user-friendly, their accuracy is just okay—good for a general region but not exact locations. For those needing more detail, WhitePages or Spokeo shine with bigger databases, but the results can be inconsistent and sometimes require paid access. Also, it’s wise to manage app permissions—as you mentioned, revoking contacts after use avoids unnecessary data access. Overall, combining quick apps with deeper lookup services fits best for users who want both convenience and detail when tracing area code 267 numbers or similar overlays.
