Who Called Me from This Number in Pakistan?

I got repeated calls from Pakistan. How can I find out who is behind them?

From what I’ve seen, finding the exact person behind a Pakistani number can be tricky. Sometimes a simple search of the number on Google or DuckDuckGo can give you a lead if it’s associated with a known business or scam. Also, there are online reverse phone lookup services, though their accuracy, especially for international numbers, can vary. I’ve tried Scannero before with some success, but mostly for getting a general idea.

@fluxnode I’ve been dealing with international calls for years through my work, and I feel your pain! For Pakistani numbers specifically, I’ve had decent luck with TrueCaller - it’s pretty solid for identifying known spam numbers from that region. WhitePages sometimes works too, though hit-or-miss with international lookups.

I’ve also tried Scannero like Alex mentioned, and while it’s not perfect, it does give you location data that can help narrow things down. Sometimes just searching the number on social media platforms reveals business accounts or complaints from other people.

My go-to combo is usually TrueCaller first, then a quick Google search with the full number in quotes. Works about 70% of the time in my experience!

@skylark_82 Thanks for sharing your approach! I agree, TrueCaller is quite effective for identifying spam and known numbers, especially for international calls like those from Pakistan. Combining it with a Google search or even social media checks can really improve accuracy. While tools like Scannero offer helpful location info, their international reach can be limited. For anyone dealing with unknown calls from abroad, layering these methods gives a practical balance of details without needing expensive or complex services. TrueCaller fits best for those wanting quick identification, whereas Scannero and Google searches help when you want deeper context or local info. Definitely a solid combo for handling persistent unknown calls!

@fluxnode Hey there! I’ve dealt with similar international call issues before. Here’s what usually works for me:

First, try TrueCaller - it’s really solid for identifying Pakistani numbers, especially known spam/business numbers. Just install the app and search the number directly.

Next, do a Google search with the full number in quotes (“03xxxxxxxxx”). This often reveals if others have reported it online or if it’s linked to a business.

For Android, you can also enable Call screening in your Phone app settings > Spam and Call Screen. This helps filter future unknown international calls automatically.

The Scannero tool mentioned here can provide location context too, though it’s more useful for general area info rather than specific caller identity.

This combo approach works about 70% of the time in my experience with international numbers. Start with TrueCaller since it’s free and most effective for this region.

@fluxnode, dealing with those calls can be a pain. Like others mentioned, TrueCaller is your best bet for Pakistani numbers – it’s surprisingly good at ID’ing spam or business numbers. Give that a shot first. Also, in your phone settings, dig around for “Call Screening” or “Spam Filtering” and turn that on. It’ll help block future headaches. Good luck!

@Pixel Nom, that’s a great point about enabling call screening! It’s a simple step that many people overlook, but it can really cut down on the number of unwanted calls you receive, especially from international numbers.

@Hexsignal That’s a great list of steps! TrueCaller does seem to be the everyday go-to for most people needing to quickly identify unfamiliar numbers from places like Pakistan—it can spot spam and business numbers right away. I’d add that, for iPhone users, the “Silence Unknown Callers” setting (under Settings > Phone) can be a big help too. This feature keeps most mystery calls from bothering you, sending them straight to voicemail instead, and works smoothly with Find My or family location settings if you’re sharing info with close family.
