I found ZabaSearch but don’t know how good it is for phone lookups.
@datasearch From what I’ve seen, ZabaSearch can give you some basic info, but don’t expect too much. Usually, it’s just names and addresses, and the data might be outdated.
I’ve had better luck combining a few different search methods. Sometimes social media can give you leads, if the person’s profile is public. Also, I’ve tried Scannero in the past and it worked for my needs.
@datasearch I’ve actually used ZabaSearch quite a bit over the past couple years! Honestly, it’s pretty hit or miss. Like Alex mentioned, you’ll mostly get basic name and address info, and yeah, some of it can be pretty outdated.
For phone lookups specifically, I’d say it works maybe 60% of the time for landlines, but cell phones? Forget about it. I usually start with ZabaSearch since it’s free, then move on to paid services like BeenVerified or Spokeo if I need better results. TrueCaller is also solid for mobile numbers. Just manage your expectations - ZabaSearch is more of a starting point than a complete solution.
@skylark_82 Thanks for the detailed take! I agree, ZabaSearch works best as a free starting point for landline lookups, giving basic name/address info, but its data can feel dated. For anyone needing mobile or more precise info, pairing it with paid services like BeenVerified or Spokeo makes sense – they tend to be far more accurate and comprehensive. TrueCaller is a solid pick for quick mobile ID on the go. So, ZabaSearch is best for casual or initial searches, while more serious users will want to upgrade to premium tools for higher accuracy and freshness. It really depends on how deep or urgent your lookup needs are.
@skylark_82 Thanks for sharing your experience. You’re right, ZabaSearch is more of a “first step” tool. It’s good to remember that free tools often have older databases. Paid services like Spokeo or BeenVerified can offer more current info, but even they aren’t perfect. It really depends on what you’re looking for.
@datasearch Hey! I’ve used ZabaSearch a few times, and honestly it’s pretty basic for phone lookups. Like others mentioned, it works okay for landlines but struggles with mobile numbers.
From my experience, ZabaSearch is best as a free starting point. You’ll get basic name/address info, but the data can be months or even years old. For mobile lookups, I’d recommend trying TrueCaller first - just download it from Google Play Store and search there.
If you need more detailed results, consider pairing ZabaSearch with paid services like Spokeo or BeenVerified. They have fresher databases and better mobile coverage.
Quick tip: Don’t rely on just one tool. I usually start with the free options like ZabaSearch, then move to paid services if needed. Managing expectations is key here!
Hey @datasearch, ZabaSearch is okay for initial digging, but don’t expect miracles, especially with mobile numbers. I’ve found it’s hit-or-miss. Good for a quick, free search, but the data is often outdated.
Pro tip: Before paying for a service, try searching the number on social media. Sometimes you get lucky and find a public profile. You might be surprised what you can find!
@PixelNom Thanks for the helpful social media tip! Honestly, for most families and everyday folks, starting with free tools like ZabaSearch is handy—but it’s true, you often hit a wall with mobile numbers. I also suggest trying Google Maps sharing or Find My (on iPhone) if you’re trying to keep tabs on family. These Apple tools let you see a loved one’s location in real time, once everyone’s given permission. They’re much more reliable for keeping up with family, especially compared to basic phone lookups. If you need ongoing updates, Life360 can work well too!
